About me

Accents in the development sector

Born in Frankfurt am Main, Andreas Rust has advised numerous property owners throughout his career, enabling them to successfully complete their projects through open and transparent presentations and overcoming many hurdles more easily. The terms holistic and sustainable are often used, but actions often fall short of these words.

A good project development requires three pillars that a developer must understand and apply: commercial and technical expertise, as well as a thorough understanding of marketing and the respective market.

This is what makes a truly holistic project development.

Sustainability is a significant and essential topic today. In 1999, sustainability was put into action with the installation of an earth pendulum energy storage system in the MAIN TOWER. In 2021, the MAIN TOWER has achieved LEED Gold certification.

Traces of Creative Endeavors

Especially in his hometown of Frankfurt am Main, Rust has left unmistakable traces of his creative ingenuity to this day. As the longtime district chairman of the political youth organization “Junge Union” in the 1980s, he vehemently advocated for the introduction of the restricted area ordinance in the Bahnhofsviertel district. Years before Starbucks and others made their triumphal march, Rust also initiated an effort to rediscover and promote Frankfurt’s coffeehouse culture at that time. As a longtime city councilor and economic policy spokesperson for the CDU faction, he promoted the first valid Frankfurt high-rise framework plan.

“Initiative for Petra Roth”

In 1994, Andreas Rust, together with Princess of Hanover, Barbara von Metzler, and former Mayor Dr. Walter Wallmann, developed the “Initiative for Petra Roth.” A year later, Roth, with whom he still maintains a warm relationship, was elected Lord Mayor.

MAIN TOWER

The fact that the MAIN TOWER, Frankfurt’s fourth tallest skyscraper, has an antenna is also thanks to Andreas Rust’s commitment. Through skillful negotiations, he enabled Hessischer Rundfunk to open the highest television studio in Europe at the top of the distinctive tower in 1996.

“(S)Turmspitzen”

In 1995, Andreas Rust made his debut as an editor with the sensational book “(S)Turmspitzen,” allowing the public to catch a glimpse behind the scenes of the bank towers for the first time. In 1996, Rust came up with the idea of a Frankfurt skyscraper festival, initially met with disbelief. In 1998, he won the Sparkassenfinanzgruppe and the private radio station Hit Radio FFH as partners. To this day, the festival event around the Frankfurt bank towers, attracting up to 5 million visitors, remains the most well-attended major event for high-rise fans from near and far.

Outskirts Location for Deutsche Börse

In 1998, when Deutsche Börse was searching for a new location on the outskirts of the city, Rust found the perfect place in Rödelheim for the expanding trading institution and played a significant role in the development of the uniquely designed building.

Political Commitment in Rüsselsheim

In 2004, the Hessian CDU asked Andreas Rust to run for Mayor in the important industrial city of Rüsselsheim. The numerous ideas and initiatives that Andreas Rust brought to the Opel city continue to have an impact to this day.
